5 More Sites for the Urban Hustler

Posted by Arthur Pledger On September - 16 - 2009

This is a followup post to my popular The Art of Hustling: 5 Sites you Need to Know. Since I published that article, I have stumbled across 5 more sites that I instantly became a fan of. With clean layouts, fresh perspectives, and useful information, these sites have become some of my favorite communities. The producers of these sites are real life examples that walk the talk and give great advice to the rest of us in the process.

Dream and Hustle really is a brilliant site. According to the owner, Dream and Hustle is an online publication for urban entrepreneurs out there hustling, grinding and keeping it true to themselves.  Ed has spent two years developing the sites style, and even though some of the topics are intimidating (“How to Apply Set Theory Principles to Quantify 21st Century Social/Community Leadership”) he is able to translate and break down complicated matters of economics and business. Definitely one of my favorites!

100 Stax is more of an entertainment and community site, but there is still much to be learned about branding and lifestyle design (this site is where I got my first glimpse of the Aston Martin Rapide). The site has a few hundred members, posts somewhat regularly, and usually consists of links to posts written by other accredited journalists. Despite all that, though, 100stax deserves an honorable mention and a click thru.

Not only has this site proven to be a constant source of information, but I have met a few notable husltas via this site, too. The editor periodically brings the reader a series called “Thoughts of a Predicate Hustler” (inspired by CZA the CEO) that teach you to determine your worth, and educate you on being able to seek progress over fame. Im interested to see how El will develop his “Mogul Workout Plan” posts, especially since I was a trainer in the Marines, and am in the middle of fall training myself. his “Daily Motivational Fuel” posts inspired my Twitter Daily Kicks in the Ass . I like the fact that there isnt alot of advertising on the site (except for one excellent manual on mens style and etiquette). Check out my boy El Johnson, and let him know you found out about him here!

Hustle All Day is a fairly new blog (I dont think it existed when I wrote the first “5 sites” post), but despite Deuce Carter’s rudimentary posts, something about his style grabbed me. I thoroughly enjoyed his repost of Ice T’s Worldstar interview (he discussed fake huslers and having an exit strategy), and his “Links for Breakfast” is an interesting concept. For some reason, I have a feeling this guy is gonna be around for awhile!

Another fairly new blog, but dont sleep on this one. Freeman has come out of the gate running and dropping some of the most entertaining posts, tweets, and podcasts I have seen on the subject (this is how you debut a new site – with alot of quality content!). And I have got to admit; Im a little jealous of the fact that he as able to get over 400 back links so quickly! Proof of quality content, I guess. The posts are informative, no nonsense, and easy to read – definitely subscribe-worthy

I know you heard the saying You can’t win them All but you should flip it and realize that You won’t lose them All either! – Freeman via Twitter

With these top shelf sites, there is no excuse for you to not put your hustle into overdrive. Check out these sites, let me know what you all think, and go get your hustle on!

P.S. Let them kno I sent you!

  1. Thanks for the new sites Art, Semper Fi!

Good look, Art!! I’d say MYCOMEUP.COM, from across the pond, would fit-the-bill, also, and should probably be part of that syndicate of sites as well.

Thanks for the shout out! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the honorable mention. I am more shocked than you that the links are growing like gangbusters. Really I just got tired of cats not having basic money knowledge. I thought I should do something and leave bread crumbs so I can slowly build some killers on deck to attack this world.
